In October 2007, Holly was a finalist for the Athena Awards!

The finalists were:

Patty Avery, an assistant vice president, director of employee communications at Old National Bank.

Shannon S. Frank, a partner/attorney in the local McCray Lavallo Frank & Klingler law firm.

Tess Grimm, executive director of the Reitz Home Preservation Society.

Patricia A. Koch, values director for Koch Development Corp./Holiday World & Splashin' Safari at Santa Claus, Ind.

The Rev. Wendy McCormick, co-pastor of First Presbyterian Church.

Mary-Beth Owen, president of Ad Cetera Promotions and co-founder of the Komen Evansville Race for the Cure.

Sally Rideout Lambert, Alcoa Warrick Operations public affairs manager and an active leader in Southwest Indiana economic development groups.

Barbara S. Miller, executive director of Albion Fellows Bacon Center.

Christina Ryan, chief executive officer of The Women's Hospital.

Holly Dunn Pendleton, executive director of Holly's House, Inc.

The winner, Sally Rideout Lambert, was annouced Oct. 18, 2007.

Jefferson Awards for Public Service

In 2006, of 74 Jefferson Award winners from around the country who came to Washington, DC for the national ceremony, Holly was one of five to win the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award for Outstanding Public Service in recognition of her work as a sexual assault advocate and to develop Holly's House. It is the highest recognition a Jefferson Award winner can receive and is considered the “Nobel Prize” for public service in America.  CONGRATULATIONS HOLLY!!

Wedding Romantics

Holly and Jacob Pendleton were married on October 22, 2005 in Sarasota, Florida.  Missing Hurricane Wilma by 1 day they were still married on the beach.  They honeymooned in St. Lucia.  A reception was held in Evansville, Indiana on November 19, 2005 at the Evansville Country Club in honor of the newly married couple. 

May they live happily ever after...
