Quote on Holly's speaking by Brandi Watson of The Albion Fellows Bacon Center, Evansville, Indiana...
"I am the program coordinator for a rape crisis center. We have hired Holly Dunn for several speaking engagements. She speaks in a very candid manner. Her ability to gain rapport with the audience and reach out to survivors is amazing. As an example, Holly spoke for Take Back the Night March in 2003. When the microphone was open for survivors to speak out, we had eight people moved to come forward by Holly's harrowing story. An 11-year-old girl was included in this outpouring. She was so emotional in speaking out that tears overcame her. Holly stepped forward and got down on her knees and said to the girl that tears were good, but when she did not want to cry she would make a silly noise. She told the 11-year-old victim that making a silly noise and crying just simply couldn't be done at the same time. It was by far the best march we have had in the seven years I have been working in the rape crisis movement. I would recommend Holly with out reservation. She has a unique ability to answer questions off the cuff and interact with the audience in a way that many survivors can not."
